View the profiles of our Mentors and select one that matches your needs.

Choose a 30 minute time slot from the Mentor’s availability on their calendar via Calendly.

Upload a brief profile of the area you want advice/support on.

You will receive a zoom link with date and time for a one-on-one 30 minute session with your selected Mentor.

    How do I select the person who I want to support me on my skill needs?

    You can view a short bio of each Mentor/skills supplier under the various skills categories to make sure they are a match for your needs.

    How do I select the time/date for my selected skills supplier?

    You can view the mentor’s/skills supplier’s availability once you have clicked on their bio as part of the 5-step registration process.

    Will there be an opportunity to give feedback post 30-minute session?

    Yes, we value your feedback from both the skills recipient and skills supplier perspectives. Post session we will share a short feedback questionnaire (max. 3 mins to complete).

    You can contact Orla at orla@riseglobalfoundation who will request your bio (a simple, short three paragraph bio reflecting your professional background, experience in your field/industry so that the skills recipient can determine if your knowledge matches their needs) headshot and supply additional information.

    As the mentor/skills supplier how do I know what skills support is required?

    Each participant will upload a brief description of the area they need skills support via the 5-step registration process so each skills supplier can review the request in advance.

    As the mentor/skills supplier do I have an ‘opt out’ clause if my expertise does not match the profile of the skills recipient’s project description?

    Yes, please contact Orla via orla@riseglobalfoundation.com who will liaise with the skills recipient, cancel the time slot and allow a new skills recipient to fill that released slot.

    What kind of organisations/individuals will register to avail of the Skills Share Workshop?

    Cohorts such as social enterprises, charities, farmers, small businesses and start-ups.

    Can you advise examples of the types of queries these organisations might have?

    • We are developing an app and concerned about IP ownership?
    • Historically we have been a voluntary based organisation, we are about to fund our first employee, can you advise how we go about this?
    • We need to upgrade our IT system to increase capacity, what should be our next steps?
    • Our organisation is embarking on a fundraising campaign and need a review of our strategy, is it ambitious enough?
    • As a small business we are experiencing significant growth, how do we structure this?

    As the mentor/skills supplier can I maintain contact with the skills recipient post 30-minute session?

    That is a decision for both parties to agree on.
